Keith Price
Keith has been capturing the pristine beauty of Lake Tahoe for many years. Keith’s photographic art includes color-rich landscape vistas, wildlife quietly captured in their natural habitats, and stunning California images. Keith has and continues to lead hundreds of visitors on personalized photographic tours of the High Sierra’s through his popular company Tahoe Photographic Tours. Keith Plans to extend his tours to other locations all over the world.
While visiting Tahoe on a skiing trip more than 30 years ago, the Los Angeles-born Price fell in love with the natural beauty of the landscape and decided to make it his home. Far from the concrete landscape of his native L.A., Tahoe has since become the primary source of inspiration for Price.
The pristine, simple beauty of the Pacific Northwest has long been the inspiration for fine art photographer Keith Price. Finding his muse in nature, from quiet, mountainside views to the precise sway of a mountain lion’s spine, Price captures the unbridled beauty of his own backyard
.
“With every passing season, I strive to solidify my harmony with nature through the eye of my camera,” says Price. Using his innate natural eye for detail to cull the richness of each season and the power of a sweeping landscape, Price’s photographs are a modern depiction of the American west in the same vein as twentieth-century photographer Ansel Adams.
The Wild Life
A true outdoorsman, Price’s oeuvre also encompasses the wildlife that inhabits his landscapes. Taking him dangerously close to some of the most feared predators in North America, Price captures the power and vulnerability of these creatures and their connection with the environment.
In addition to working on his personal portfolio, Price shares his passion for the outdoors with others by leading private photographic tours in the woods around Lake Tahoe. Always searching for a new challenge, Price’s next excursion will lead him to the ends of the earth, seeking that perfect shot of tuxedoed penguins in their native Antarctica.
Photography is an art of passion and expression. It provides me the ability to capture and share nature’s amazing wildlife and landscapes. With every passing season I, strive to create images that express our oneness with nature. As human populations continue to grow, conflicts over land use will become even greater. I hope my images remind everyone of the paramount importance of preserving our wildlife and habitat.
Keith Price’s love and fascination of animals has driven his photographic expeditions to remote locations all over the world. Recent explorations have taken Keith to Alaska, the Arctic, and the most beautiful of all, the United States.
